About This Workshop:
Voice actors are the ultimate vocal athletes. The impressive vocal flexibility to create dynamic voices and last in long recording session is hard work! Have you ever wondered how to keep your voice safe with all these demands on your instrument? This 2-hour workshop is offered by speech pathologists from the USC Voice Center with specialization in performing voice and voice disorders. The workshop will include information about vocal mechanics, vocal health and wellness, and debunking vocal myths (is tea actually good for your voice?). There will be dedicated time to practice warm-ups and cool-downs designed to keep your instrument flexible and in shape (we encourage you to have a straw and water nearby!).
